Not far from Pierre, South Dakota, among the cornfields and rolling hillsides, you’ll find North America’s largest population of Chinese Ring-necked Pheasant. The hunting at Signature Lodge is done in the traditional block and drive style and it’s not uncommon to put hundreds of birds in the air on a quarter mile drive. In the course of a day you can easily see a thousand birds. Or Two. The lodge houses thirty-three single occupancy rooms and suites all with private bath, and the cigar and cognac ice bar is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day.

The Weinreis family moved to The Dakotas in the early 1900’s, today - four generations later - they own and operate Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge. Overlooking lake Oahe, the Lodge is recognized as one of South Dakota’s finest, with thousands of acres of prime pheasant hunting. No expense was spared to create a variety of habitat and diversity of cover, diversity that compels hunters to return year after year to this part of South Dakota. Similarly the lodge was completely renovated just a few years ago, with single occupancy rooms and plenty of space to relax and recount the days hunt.
